State of Georgia Quilt Block

Create a foundation paper pieced Georgia Quilt Block in 3 sizes! Use this block to create a pillow or tote, or add it to a larger project.

This PDF download pattern includes foundation paper piecing templates for 12-inch, 16-inch, and 18-inch square blocks. You will need to print the templates at 100% or "actual size" in order to construct the blocks. Templates can print in black and white on letter size (8-½"x 11") paper.

Note: Due to the size of the block, the foundation paper piecing is simplified in the 12-inch block. The construction of the 16 and 18-inch blocks is the same.

This intermediate-level pattern does not include specific instruction for foundation paper piecing techniques. A link is provided to a video tutorial (with a free pattern) teaching this construction method.

The pattern includes a block pattern in three sizes. It does not include instructions for setting or finishing the block into a completed project.
