In the late 1800s, a boy named Clarence learned needlework from his mother while his siblings helped out around the family farm. A hundred years later, his quilts had been handed down through the generations, and some of them were documented in a book.
Reading Clarence’s story in that book inspired me to create my own version of his 1895 Double X Variation which he pieced when he was but 11 years old. Now YOU can revisit history with the Saltwater Taffy quilt!
