Skill Level: 2 out of 5 (Confident Beginner)
Life tugs us in different directions, and I designed Push-Pull thinking about how the constraints of societal norms try to push and pull us into boxes of conformity. The pattern includes instructions to make the quilt in four sizes: baby, lap, queen, and king.
Learn about the elements that create a transparency quilt, hone your fabric selection skills, and have fun piecing the Push-Pull quilt! I have found that my exploration of transparency has helped me make better choices in my fabric selections for other projects, and I am excited to share what I have learned with you.
I purposefully designed the Queen and King size versions of Push-Pull to have the focal design elements seeming to fall off the edge of the bed. Quilts and covers are nothing if not pushed or pulled all night, right (or is that just in my house)?? However, if you would like to shift the design, then I offer 3 alternative options so that with a few simple tweaks in the final assembly, you can get the final look that makes you the happiest.
