Heart Spool Block FPP Pattern

This foundation paper pieced pattern is a spin off from my Tumbling Spools Sampler Mini Quilt.  Recently I thought it would be fun to design a block with a heart in the center.

This pattern includes the heart spool as a ‘tumbling block’ at the same size to the blocks in the Tumbling Spools Sampler pattern (4½” x 5” unfinished).  So you can use it along with those if you have that pattern, or on it’s own as a mug rug or something else.  But I’ve also included the pattern pieces to make a larger ‘non-tumbling’ version too, which is perfect for larger projects such as cushions, bags or large quilts.  The larger block finishes at 10½”x 12½” unfinished).

This listing is for the Foundation Paper Pattern and does not include in-depth instruction on how to make this block into a finished item.  Although there are some extra measurements included if you would like to turn the large block into a cushion.
