Modern Log Cabins

As seen on TV! The Log Cabin is a perfectly lovable and adaptable quilt block. I spent much of 2020 playing around log cabin quilts and ended up making two quilts that I liked very much. Together, we ended up on the television show Fresh Quilting!

By popular request, I’ve written this pattern to explain how to make my two log cabin quilts. This pattern is a 2-for-1--The Atomic Log Cabin and The Striped Log Cabin are included!

This pattern was professionally written and edited. It was tested by quilters at a range of abilities. It includes fabric requirements for each size and cutting diagrams for both straight cutting and fussy cutting.

SKILLS NECESSARY:
rotary cutting
accurate ¼-inch seams

SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
baby 36” x 36”
large lap 72” x 72”
twin 72” x 90”
queen 90” x 90”
king 108” x 108”

Suitable for quilters of almost any skill level – you must be able to cut and piece fairly accurately.
