Mary Dylke was introduced to quilting in 2008 by a work colleague. It didn't take long for her to become completely addicted and to acquire all the tools and toys needed and desired, including a long-arm. She retired from her "real" job in 2014 and began quilting in a big way. Most of her quilts are of her own design and eventually friends suggested writing patterns for some of them. Her inspiration comes from many sources: architecture, art installations, geometry and even Carl Sagan's Cosmos series.
