Melissa started this adventure over ten years ago while living in Cairo, Egypt. Entranced by the fabric souq, she started sewing to manage her addiction to gorgeous textiles.
Melissa later started a business designing custom nursery quilts and bedding, building it into a successful and very busy enterprise.
In recent years, Melissa has turned more towards modern design and techniques, constantly learning, playing, and developing her voice through quilting. With a growing catalog of patterns written for her personal use and a desire to be a greater part of the modern quilting community, the next step in Melissa's artistic journey is the creation of Quilt ALL the Things to showcase her work.
Melissa is inspired by traditional Islamic art and modern architecture, and loves to incorporate color, movement, and confusion into her designs.
