Top Pattern Tip!

I love quilt patterns! When I have a favorite, I make it over and over. I have probably made my favorite quilt pattern 16 times in sizes from baby to queen--it is super fast and I can almost always make it from my stash!
But have you ever had a bad experience with a quilt pattern? My worst was the second pattern I ever made, and it was completely user error! The pattern was written for making half square triangles with a special tool that I did not have, and so my blocks were all wrong when I went to put the together. When making a pattern, it is always important to read the pattern first, and whenever possible make a test block before you cut all your fabric out!
